Burkina Faso is a landlocked country located in West Africa. It borders Mali to the north, Niger to the east, Benin to the southeast, Togo and Ghana to the south, and Ivory Coast to the southwest. The capital city of Burkina Faso is Ouagadougou, its official language is French. The people of Burkina Faso are called Burkinabe.

布基纳法索位于西非的内陆国家，北接马里，东与尼日尔交界，东南接贝宁，南接多哥和加纳，西南与科特迪瓦交界。布基纳法索的首都是瓦加杜古，它的官方语言是法语，居民叫布基纳人。

National Anthem 国歌

The national anthem of Burkina Faso is "Le Ditanye", which translates to "Anthem of the victory" in English.

National Flag 国旗

The national flag of Burkina Faso has two equal horizontal bands of red (top) and green (bottom), and a yellow star in the middle. Red stands for revolution, green stands for the abundance of agricultural and natural resources, and the yellow star stands as the guiding light of the revolution.

布基纳法索国旗有红色（上）和绿色（下）两个水平条纹，中间有一个黄色的星星。红色代表革命，绿色代表丰富的农业和自然资源，黄色的星星代表革命的指示灯。

Ouagadougou 瓦加杜古

Ouagadougou is the capital and largest city (by population) of Burkina Faso. The name is usually shortened to Ouaga. It became the capital of the Mossi Empire in 1441 and was the permanent residence of the Mossi emperors (Moro-Naba) from 1681.

瓦加杜古简称“瓦加”是布基纳法索的首都及最大城市（按人口算）。早在1441年这座城市就成了 Mossi 帝国的首都，并且在1681年开始 Mossi 历代皇帝都居于此。

Bobo-Dioulasso is the second-largest city in Burkina Faso. The name means "The home of the Bobo-Dioula". Some locals refer to the city's name as "Sia". It is the chief trade and industrial center of Burkina Faso, there are bicycle assembly factories, cigarette factories, cotton gins, and other food processing plants.

博博迪乌拉索是布基纳法索第二大城市。这个名字的意思是“波波-迪奥拉的家”。一些当地人称这个城市为“Sia”。它是布基纳法索的主要贸易和工业中心，有自行车装配厂、香烟厂、轧棉业和其他食品加工厂。

Other major cities in Burkina Faso include Koudougou, Ouahigouya, and Banfora.

Karfiguela falls 卡菲盖拉瀑布

The falls are about 12 Kilometers from Banfora. According to the Burkina Faso embassy in Paris description, it is also a place of worship for the surrounding residents.

Reserve de Nazinga

Variety of animals can be seen on this Reserve, Burkina Faso has the largest number of elephants in west Africa.

These domes were formed by years of erosion.

Lake Tengrela 腾格里拉湖

The main attraction on this lake is the hippo. They are believed to be harmless and will not attack humans.

This wildlife park is situated in the very heart of Ouagadougou city. The park also has a museum detailing the natural history.
